[Footage of young student working on schoolwork, looking at a phone and writing]
Burge:The vast majority of kindergarteners today are going to have jobs that don't exist today. So we are, as educators, trying to prepare students for the unknown. How do we do that? Webster's program addresses this directly by including courses in innovation, globalization, mindfulness, creativity, higher order thinking skills, collaboration, equipping educators with skills and tools to equip their students and better prepare them for this unknown future.

Basiyr Rodney: The degree itself 鈥 it's for the educator who is interested in rethinking how we construct learning environments and how we meet the needs of all kinds of learners, regardless of their background and the spaces from which they come.

Rodney: For example, it might be a teacher who is thinking about how do I ramp up my curriculum in a modern way and maybe infuse more technology, but I don't want to be a technologist.
I want to use technology in pedagogy. I want to use technology and then connect it to some of maybe the larger social challenges that we face.

Rodney: In terms of modalities, our US students are online and in the online experience, we use an online learning tool and we have some other distinctiveness that we add to that.

Rodney: And then our students at international campuses are both online and live virtual as well as on ground.
Burge: We had students from all over the country and all over the world, so we heard different perspectives and yet had to work collaboratively.

Text on screen: One-on-one attention from the faculty
Burge: The class sizes were small. There was a lot of interaction with the professors and their support and expertise were very helpful.
Text on screen: This program serves teachers, business and organizational leaders, trainers and other professionals.
Burge: Webster's program encourages educators to think and reflect in a broader sense, to really think creatively, innovatively, outside the box, using those higher order thinking skills to evaluate the craft of teaching.

MA in Education and Innovation FAQ
The MA EDIN evolved from the former/original Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree program that has existed at 四虎影视 for over 50 years. The MA EDIN was developed in 2015 in order to primarily support the needs of learning organizations and curriculum specialists. It was created out of a distinct need to support the development of trainers and training specialists that have depth of knowledge in instructional design, curriculum and program development, and sequencing. Other related skills include program evaluation, educational research and presentation skills.
The program learning outcomes have been strengthened with new strands: creativity, sustainability as defined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as social justice and equity. Technology and innovation are critical elements in the program. Students learn to use a wide variety of digital tools to support learning designs that are targeted at program and organizational learning outcomes.
In 2017-2018 a new assessment system was adopted for the program based on Canvas (WorldClassroom). The new assessment system saw a refinement in program goals to include the The National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE) goals for innovative workforce development programs.
This program focuses on Creativity > Design Thinking > Multimedia Learning > Transformative learning goals to prepare you with knowledge about global issues and skills to advocate for yourself and the cause you care about. There are 11 courses that you need to take over the period of 12-18 months.
