  1. This is such a good performance, and such a fantastic way to work this song into the flashback world of the movie/story as a way to establish the infamous apartment and key cast. Lin-Manuel directs the hell out of this with enveloping long takes, perfect cutaways and an incredibly palpable energy that transmits across screens. And this isn't even THE best (or 2nd best scene) in this excellent film.
