The post obviously did not go down well with both Samantha and Chaitanya’s fans on social media who were quick to jump into their support.
No sooner did he share the post, comments poured in from all sides. Most of them were seen bashing the actor for his “insensitive” post. While one user wrote, ‘This tweet shows how people have grudges in their heart. She might be your ex gf, and now she might be chay’s ex-wife that doesn’t mean she’s a cheater or a bad person. She is still the same bold, independent woman “Samantha”. People, please spread love and kindness, another one added, ‘One of the first lessons I learnt from my dad after my break-up when I was in college. ‘Let it go. Don’t see her as an enemy. Everything happens for a good reason’ What’s yours?”

Speculations of trouble in the couple’s relationship reportedly started when the actress dropped her surname from her Twitter handle. In an interview with a news portal, Samantha reportedly said that people have been trolling her for ‘The Family Man 2’ and then started asking her the reason behind dropping her surname on social media. However, she doesn’t feel the need to react to them. According to her, this is how she has always been.
The estranged couple took to their respective social media handles over the weekend to announce their separation.
Siddharth and Samantha were reportedly in a relationship in 2013. However, the actors never came out in open about the same. Back in the day, they were also rumoured to be planning to get married. However, they rubbished all such reports in various interviews.
In 2014, Samantha fell in love with Naga Chaitanya and the couple had got married in 2017 after dating for three years.
