For Prospective Students
The short answer is yes, provided they are college-level courses from regionally-accredited institutions, completed with a grade of C- or better.
All transfer credit is capped at 90 credit hours whether from dual credit programs, AP scores, military experience, community colleges, or other four-year institutions. If you have completed an associate degree, we will accept the amount of credit hours needed to obtain the degree within the 90 credit hour maximum. If an associate degree was not completed, we will accept up to 64 credit hours from the community college. We will take a total of 30 semester hours from a nationally accredited institution.
All transfer coursework is evaluated for the closest appropriate equivalency for Webster major requirements if approved by faculty, general education requirements, or elective credit.
We have a list of all previously transferred coursework from various other colleges available on our transfer database. We also have transfer guides that will provide information on what classes will transfer to specific majors at Webster from different institutions.
If you don't see some of your coursework in that database, it doesn't mean it won't transfer; it just isn't in the database yet. Contact your admissions counselor, who can reach out to the faculty for approval!
